I have recently bought some properties where the tenants AST's have since expired many years ago and no new paperwork has been provided. Some of the tenants pay on time but most are in severe arrears. remedial works are required to the properties and some of the tenants use this, refusing to pay any rent until the works are done. As we are the new owners - how do we stand?
