After eviction the tenant still owes me several thousand pounds

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a landlord and after having evicted a tenant using a court of law, I find that the tenant still owes me several thousand pounds and I do not know his whereabouts.

Could you advise on how I can locate the tenant to pursue the recovery of the rent arrears and court costs?

I noticed that certain tenants in receipt of housing benefit, get a certain amount retained at source. What can I do to do the same, if I find that my tenant is still in the area and will be claiming some housing benefit.
