We have a tenant who owes us £4500 due to us not checking bank statements etc. Now would appreciate advice as to best way of recouping some of this money. Tenant does work but also gets some benefits. Would like to know if it is better to seek possession and try to recoup the money somehow or is it better to try to threaten her with bankruptcy and and see if that makes her come to some payment plan? Your advice appreciated.
