My tenant is currently in arrears to the tune of £1500, and I've just got a 28-day possession order against him, with a money order consisting of a fixed amount until the next rent date (3 weeks time), then accruing at a daily rate until he quits.

Can I do anything at this point to start the ball rolling to reclaim the debt, or do I have to wait until he leaves (most likely using a bailiff), whereupon I will know the final amount of the debt?

The tenant is in a well-paid job, and I have no doubt that I'm going to end up going down the Attachment of Earnings road. Obviously I'd rather get things moving sooner rather than later, especially while I still have an address for service of documents.

Any advice much appreciated.
