A reason for moving?

Afternoon all.....

A current scenario for you to discuss......

One of our letting agents messages and states that they need to implement a new charge of £15 per annum per property in order to "cover the administrative resources required to fulfil our legal obligation to provide HMRC with prescribed information relating to the rental income we receive on your behalf"

Interestingly no other letting agent we use had implemented a similar charge or increased their fees.

Now this agent has in the past 12 months been taken over, services "streamlined" (less efficient and higher % fees and given the choice I'd move our business from them.

Is this new charge, albeit relatively small, enough reason to move our business or are we tied in due to them originally finding the current tenants?

Thanks for your thoughts......
