I would be grateful for advise for the following:
My tenant receives housing benefit directly from the council and has not paid two months rent despite receiving two payments; she has left the property without informing me and not paid the rent. Have called the council who have said that she has moved to another house in the same borough and she continues to receive housing benefit
The flat i rented to tenant was fully furnished; the tenant has left it empty leaving behind broken or useless furniture. I did not have a formal inventory when tenant moved in 5 years ago but the contract was signed as a fully furnished residence.
Have informed benefits fraud unit at the council but is there anything else i can do at the council who effectively continue to support tenant.
How best can i claim back rental arrears; are the debt collectors any good.
I have no formal inventory but all furniture is gone or trashed: is there any point in claiming that back.
Tenant is still in the borough / I know the school that the kids attend but have no address: how can i track them down?
thanks for your help
