Evening, anyone currently signed up with RentSmartWales? I'm taking over the day to day running of our properties from my wife and according to their passive aggressive email I need to pass their training within 14 days or face an undetermined fine! This was their respons to my very polite and enquiring email......

"Once you have created an Account and completed Training, give your account reference number (#P1) to the current lead landlord on the Registration or Licence so they can contact us to connect you. Whilst you remain unconnected and undertaking the Letting and Managment for the company you are considered non-compliant with Rent Smart Wales.

You have 14 calendar days from the date of this email (that is on or before 21/06/2024) to comply with your legal obligations and complete your Licence application. If after this date you have not complied, a decision will be made regarding the most appropriate enforcement action to take.

Penalties in the legislation mean a person found operating illegally could be served a Fixed Penalty Notice and/or be prosecuted. In addition, there are other consequences like not being able to serve an Eviction Notice, or being served with a Rent Repayment or Rent Stopping Order."

Anyone here signed up with RSW and are they normally and as direct as a "kick in the nuts" when you are simply trying to do the right thing and sign up?
