Cat flap has been reauested

my long term tenant has reauested I allow her to put in a cat flap to the wooden kitchen door to the garden. It is mostly glazed but she wants to put one in the wooden frame.  How can I permit this and at the same time ensure it is done properly with no damage to the door? How should I best word a response?
