I have a tenant on a 6 mth assured short hold TA which expires 01 October. It is a flat in a converted house I own that I'm planning to redevelop. Planning app is going in any time now. It can easily take longer than the 2 months + I then have to organise builders etc. If I serve a sec 21 now to expire on 01 October can I then issue a further one in a month or so if things get delayed? The tenant wants to stay as long as possible, we are on good terms and she knew my plans from the start. Would it be better to get a new TA signed on a rolling monthly contract when the current expires if there are longer delays in the application?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated
