I have been advised (not by the RLA) that a Section 21 issued within the first two weeks of a tenancy starting is not valid due to a "2 after 4" break clause in the contract. The advice is that I should have waited until 4 months of the tenancy had passed before issuing the Section 21.

I wasn't aware that a break clause conflicted with the general RLA advice of always issuing a Section 21 at the start of the tenancy but then again the standard RLA AST doesn't have a break clause so maybe this is where the confusion is in my mind?
