I have served a section 8 notice based on rent arrears and a possession hearing has been set. Meanwhile, the police have asked me for the address of relatives of my tenant because they wish to arrest and charge him with the burglary of another of my flats in the same block and for the stabbing of the occupant (my tenant, of course). Can I add these circumstances to my witness statement: they weren't in the section 8 notice forming the basis of the hearing.
