I have today been contacted by the local police to inform me they have arrested one of my tenants and to contact another of my tenants whose complaint led to the arrest.

The other tenant who is in his 50s complained that today, after asking the tenant again to keep noise down during the night, had a knife pulled on him and was told he would be killed. At this point he went to the police and made a formal complaint.

Obviously he is too scared to go back to the property and I need a solution which would get possession back from the violent tenant in less than the usual 2 weeks under S8.

Prior to this I had no knowledge of any history of violence from any of the tenants at that property.

Many thanks for your help.
