I issue a section 21 (1)(B) at the start of a tenancy along with a six month tenancy agreement. If I am happy with the tenants I do not normally issue a new tenancy agreement, thereby the tenancy becomes a periodic one and I understood I needed to only issue the tenant with two months notice to quit in writing. I understood there is no need to issue any further section 21 notice. i.e. the one issued at the start of the tenancy was enough.

I have today attended the landlords show at G.Mex and attended the R>L>A> presentation regarding the law, and we were informed that if a tenancy has rolled over to become a periodic tenancy then a Section 21 (4)(A) must be issued to give your tenant notice.

What is the case as I am now confused as to what I should be doing.
