If you have a mortgage this may well restrict your freedom to choose.
Check these terms, plus your lease terms if not freehold.

Typically the mortgage providers insist on a maximum of 6 or 12 months AST lettings. This is to ensure they can gain possession reasonably quickly if you default on your mortgage payments.
