I would say do two things.

First search this forum and website and there is already lots of good information that covers the detail about Housing benefit, your obligations and how to learn more.

Secondly, arrange to go and see the tenants and have a chat and fact finding mission. You indicate that they have been fine so far, give them the chance to explain and then decide on the most appropriate action for you to take.
