We manage a property on behalf of this landlord, he contacted us requiring tenants telephone number as he is coming to the area and wants to ring the tenant to see if she is going on holiday during the summer holidays and if so can he stay in the property, i advised as per the tenancy agreement which states "that the tenant paying the rent and observing the stipulations on his part therein contained shall peacefully hold and enjoy the premises during the tenancy without interruption by the landlord", his reply was he is not demanding possession he wants to make arrangement with tenant by mutual consent and is now demanding telephone numbers for tenant, we really dont want to give her number to him as we dont want her to feel uncomfortable and like she has to meet his demand, how can i prevent him from contacting her, any advice?
