Process at the end of tenancy

Hi,

Tenants are leaving at the end of the month and I wonder about the right process for making sure all the utilities are paid up and the providers are notified.

Do the tenants have to do this? or can I call the electricity, gas, etc companies to make them aware of the change?

Also, as new tenants would probably move in the following weeks, do I need to put all the utilities back in my name or is there an alternative?
