Our local social housing organisation takes tenants off me who are months in arrears and have CCJs against them. They do not ask for a reference from me but I think they get a special unfair deal on housing benefit as they control the claim process and can make sure it comes to them.
I suspect one current tenant is claiming benefit on his new flat while he stays rent free in mine! He says he wants to redecorate before moving!
Can we do something to stop this abuse?
