Dear Sir,

Are we allowed to take 6-months rent upfront at the start of tenancy, if we know and confirmed with the tenant that the tenancy is short-term six months only? Obviously, this would be the case of tenant, who works full-time.

Would this 6-months rent in advance be treated as Deposit or just normal contractual rent?

Please advise.

Thanks
Manav Seth
