A tenant vacated a property and left it in a disgusting and unlettable condition. No real damage, just dirty and disgusting. My partner and I spent two whole days cleaning the place top to bottom. Several bags of rubbish were taken to the local tip. I want to retain £200.00 from the deposit, held by the DPS. The tenant is disputing the amount. I am worried that if it goes to dispute resolution I may not be successful as I cannot produce receipts etc like if I had got a cleaning firm or rubbish removal company in? Any thoughts? Nick.
