We are contemplating using the Tenancy Deposit Scheme insurance whereby the Tenant pays a monthly sum by credit/debit card to a Deposit Scheme insurer directly instead of paying us a rent deposit. If they are then in breach of any terms of the tenancy, we claim from that insurance.

Not sure how well this scheme works and what if the Tenant stops paying the premiums. Does anyone have experience of such a scheme - good or bad?

Thank you.
