I have recently discovered that owing to the credit crunch I have 4 seperate tenants who have lost their jobs and are claiming housing benefit. They did not tell me, however, my Insurance company for the buildings specified when I took out the policies that they did not do DSS tenants, at the time they were all working. I am concerned now that I may even have more (DSS Tenants) that I know about, and what if one of my houses bunt down and it transpired the tenant had switched from working to DSS and not informed me? Any recommendations for insurers that accept DSS (annoying as I have recently transferred all my houses to the one very competetive company).
