I have a flat in a block and it has come to light that there is a communal electricity meter for the whole block hidden away inside a flat in the block. We have been sent a large bill £2,000 each for one year electric. We cannot find anything in the lease regarding a communal electric supply and were not told by the conveyancer. Where do we stand and what action should be taken?
