Morning.

My tenant is on housing benefit and I have always supplied a rent book as the rent was payable on a weekly basis but was actually paid every fourth week via cheque

I have now altered the next tenancy agreement so that the rent is payable every fourth week. The Housing benefit payments have always been paid directly to me via cheque every four weeks.

Even though the rental payments are fully trackable with a receipt every four weeks, will I still be legally required to provide a rent book. If so would I have to record the rent as being paid weekly or every fourth week.

Thank You
