Our departing tenant has informed us, and we have now seen that an area of carpet has a nail polish stain which cannot be removed. This is a large piece of carpet that is serving as a large rug in one of the bedrooms. The stain is very noticeable - what would the fairest way to charge for the damage from the deposit (original cost was around £40.00 and the carpet is around 1 1/2 - 2 years old with an otherwise normal amount of wear and tear and no other stains/damage.

Your advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Andrea
