I forgot to put the tenants deposit in a TDS due to a silly admin error.

The tenancy has ended and I have returned most of the deposit less outstanding rent and agreed fixes following an inventory. I have a signed inventory and agreement on the deductions. The tenant has now asked for the TDS certificate or the agreed deductions back, they are obviously aware I forgot to do this.

Gutted that I made this mistake and a lesson learnt as they left the house in bad condition and breached the terms of the contract on 10 separate counts.

Should I just pay them the agreed fixes and put it down as a valuable lesson or now that the tenancy has finished can I just ignore?
