Recently had a tenant leave a shared property where only she was liable for council tax (other tenants are all students so exempt status).
Now gone back home which is overseas and we are 'aware' that the council are chasing her for unpaid council tax.
Are we liable for this unpaid tax in any way?
Are there any measures we can take to ensure we don't become liable?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
