I have a fixed term 6 month AST which began on 07/11/07. My tenant gave notice by email on 21/07/08. He wanted the notice to be taken from that day (the AST states that 30 days notice must be given by either party.) He has paid a months rent which was due on 07/08/08. Is he entitled to stay until 06/09/08 or should his last day be 20/08/08?
