Evicting a Tenant

Dear All,

I have a tenant who moved into a property at the end of August 2006. He subsequently underpaid his rent in September (by £200). Their rent was also late. We agreed that he would pay the remaining balance in October &November. I agreed this in writing.

Octobers rent has not been paid. It was due on the 1st Oct. I have asked the tenant for payment, alternatively, to break the contract and leave.

The tenant is stating that I need to evict him. He doesn't have the means to pay me the rent.

What do you suggest I do?
