How Long is a re-possession order valid

I have obtained a re-possession order and it has gone past the date the tenant was due to leave. I have completed the form to make an appointment with the bailiffs, but would like to know if there is a time limit to the possession order, assuming a new tenancy has not been given to the tenant?
