one of our tenants has been declared bankrupt.
her rent is being covered by Housing Benefit, and is paid in full on time.
her tenancy expires in February 09. as she is bankrupt, is she allowed to sign a new AST? do we approach the administrators? Can we offer a periodic tenancy.
she has kept the property in v good condition and there is no issue regarding Housing Benefit etc, all rent is paid up to date.
the administrators are aware of the current AST and have confirmed it will be honoured.
she has indicated she wants to remain in the property.
