Hello. I issued a S21(4)(a) notice on 9th May to expire 17th July.
Tenant at that time was £322 in arrears, however I did not intend at the time to pursue the outstanding arrears off her as I was receiving full local housing allowance, directly paid to me, off the local authority. This allowance is more than the rent that I charge her so in effect the arrears were being paid off,and would have been by the time she was due to leave.

Since then however the tenants benefit has been Lapsed by the council because she has failed to provide them with the neccessary information to reinstate the benefit.

I now want to chase the arrears ( she now owes £652) but do not want to issue a S8 and start all over again. Can I leave the S21 in Situ and chase the arrears through the court using another method? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Ian Smith
