I am considering seeking possession of my property in order to sell it. The property was rented on a RLA AST Agreement, which is now continuing as a statutory periodic tenancy.

Immediately after the tenancy agreement was signed I issued a Section 21(1)(B), however having just read back through the guides on this site I've realised that although I got the tenant to sign, I should also have signed it myself!

Will this cause a problem; what would be the best way to proceed?

I see my tenant in passing quite regularly so I can 'test the water' about giving notice. Although I doubt there would be a problem I want to make sure everything is above board and fair.

One further question, having read other posts I want to be sure, the tenancy commenced on the 14th of the month. Would the date of possession be the 14th or the 15th ?
