These seem to be helping with the mold.

It is a modern living problem, we love heat, and we love having lots of furniture near walls (IKEA to thank for that) .. so cold areas attract the moisture (i.e behind wardobes, close to windows, outside walls).

By using an heat recovery unit you bring dry air in, and remove damp air. It keeps the warmth from the air going out (you paid to heat) and transfers it to the dry air coming in.

As it is cheaper to heat dry air, than damp air, the heat recovery units tend to be cost efficient to install. and of course you drastically reduce the damp issue.
