I have a tenant who is in arrears and has asked to hand back the keys, however they obtained warm air grant in the form of central heating while they were in my property. They have asked me to waiver the rent arrears because of this. Otherwise they are going to take it out and take it with them. If they take out the heating and leave nothing is this not criminal damage. They say as they got the grant the heating belongs to them.
