AST Room Only or Owner Occupier Tenancy?

I am in the process of purchasing a 4 bed property which I intend to move into and let out the other 3 rooms.

However, I am currently tied into the lease on my current flat for the next 6 months so am planning to let out all 4 rooms in the meantime until I am able to move in.

Do I need to create Room Only ASTs for 6 months and then revert to Owner Occupier Tenancies once I move in? Or can I create 3x 12 month ASTs and one 6 month AST for the room I intend to move into (and then continue to use ASTs)?
