Hello.my relative currently lets a shop unit from a landlord, in the agreement he has crossed out various sections. 1)heating and water 2)general maintenace etc. The agreement ends in feb 2011 and the landlord is putting pressure on to renew for 3years. She has sked him to repair the heating and water supply as this is not working, he did have a bioler fitted a couple of years ago before she let the shop but this has leaked ever since. A british gas engineer has stated it should be also condemed.the main issue id dry rot and rising damp throughout the rear of the property of which the landlord has said 'not his problem'. firstly is this acceptable and is there anything she can do ?hope this makes some sense . thanks gary atherton
