I have a Lady from Thailand looking at moving into one of my houses, However, she claims that her husband (who is british) has left her and taken her passport. this is backed up by her in laws (his parents) who suggest that he is gone and they never expect to see him again.

My main concern is that the only valid ID she has is a photocopy of her Thai passport, she claims to have lived here in the UK for 4 years and has 2 kids who are schooled locally.

Do I have any potential pit falls to watch out for?
