Could you please point me in the right direction?

I am buying a house to let it by the room (to 4 people Max).

There is a lot of information on safety but I wonder if there is a quick guide (rather than reading all the different regulations) to things I must do before I let the first room.

I will spend more time looking through your web site in the very near future (it looks very good) but right now, I could do with a quick guide for just about everything I need to know just before I start to let it (the agreed completion date has just been moved forward by 3 months!!!).
