how to sign the contract remotely

Hello, I have the following problem. My resident is moving out unexpectedly. I'm currently abroad and not back until June.
I'd like to rent the flat again and I have somone to show the flat and hand in the keys, etc.
How do I sign the contract with the tenant? Is it ok to email the scan or fax the contract with my signature?
