I am required to pay an annual letting fee (for a flat that I own)to a property management company (to whom I also pay service charges and ground rent). The fee has steadily increased from £60 p.a.to £90 in the space of 3 years, at a rate way above inflation. Matters are complicated by the fact that it's not the company itself that is charging me but a subsidiary company acting on their behalf. Can they charge what they like? Can I appeal and, if so, to whom?
