Forwarding addresses

I have sold the property I was renting and the new owner has asked for the forwarding address of my previous tenant.

I want to ensure that I don't become liable for any debts the tenant may have left and at the same time I don't want to give out information I shouldn't be giving out.

Can I give the forwarding address the the new owner and/or any organisations that might wish to pursue the tenant for bills? What are my legal obligations?
