OMBC is now charging landlords with unoccupied properties as if they were unoccupied second homes for council tax purposes. That's right Oldham. Not Abersoch. Not Windermere. Not Newquay but Oldham holiday home capital of North East Manchester. So rather than a 50% discount i now get 10%.

How do they have the nerve?

so apart from questioning their chutzpah, my question... how do i disable an empty house to render it uninhabitable so it qualifies for larger council tax discount without obviously taking a bulldozer to it.

only looking for legal ways here.
