I am in the process of completing on a buy to let property - the first.
It looks very likely that the cost associated with the purchase purchase,interest payments on the mortgage, redecorating and purchase of white goods will exceed any rental I will receive in the 2008/9 tax year ending 5th April.

Can I offset the loss in this years tax return against other personal taxation I have paid.
