My tenant’s tenancy started on 25th June 2008 to 24th November 2008. He has just signed a tenancy agreement for a further 6 months. He has 1 month arrears from his previous agreement. I am going to help him complete a Housing Benefit claim form. I am not sure which tenancy start date to enter on the HB form. Should the tenancy start date be 25th May or the date that the new agreement was entered into?
