Currently in the process of renting out a property in England. The most suitable applicants have a guarantor (their father) who lives in Scotland. I was planning to use the RLA Deed of Guarantee.

Is it wise to have a guarantor in Scotland?
Is the RLA Deed of Guarantee suitable on this occassion?
Can it be enforced against some-one residing in Scotland?

A security deposit is also being taken.
