I'm mortgaging my property which has been let for the past 10 years to do some renovations. Past occupants have included professional sharers and I have generally found them quite reasonable tenants. Two building societies I have approached however indiate that such lets would be deemed 'multiple occupancy' and not allowed under their mortgage terms. Does anyone know of a lender that will take a different view?
