I am renewing a tenancy with a couple. I am happy for the rent to stay as it is for now, but would like to raise it in 6 months time ( when I need to re-finance! )I woud prefer the security of a 12 month contract, as would they. I can't run a periodic tenancy as one other couple are moving out so it is a new contract
If I get their agreement, how should I write this in to the contract? Is it ok to issue a 12 month contract, with rent stated as ' £820 rising to £850 on 5 June 2009 ' and also include this as a clause in the addendum to the contract.
