Help finding details on new fire safety guidelines for student-let HMOs

I am about to upgrade some houses as part of the mandatory HMO licensing process, and obviously don't want to throw more money at it than I need to.

The latest RLA newsletter (today, 07/05/09) reports some "key changes" regarding LACOR guidelines on standards of fire doors and smoke alarm systems, but I cannot find any links or details anywhere.

Please help with links and details, thanks.
