Dear All,

I would be really grateful for your advice on this matter. I have a tenant who is a past bankrupt. He has always paid his rent to me on time but I am aware he has not paid other bills unrelated to me (i.e. his council tax) and that he is a past bankrupt.

My question is, do you think that his poor credit rating is likely to influence my own credit status? I would like to take out a loan to do some work to my residential property and it has occurred to me that my tenant may influence my ability to take out the loan.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Regards, Suzy
